Nuclear Engineering Professor Rachel Slaybaugh has been invited to serve as a Senior Fellow at the Berkeley Institute for Data Science (BIDS). BIDS was founded in 2013 to build a community of UC Berkeley data science researchers which represents a number of diverse research fields. UCBNE Graduate Student Nils Haneklaus received an award for Best Presentation in the Material Science and Technology Category at the ANS Student Conference in April hosted by Texas A&M. Nils' award winning presentation was entitled "Diffusion Bonding of 316 SS Tube-to-Tube Sheet Joints for Coiled Tube Gas Heaters"
