Professor Digby Macdonald to be Awarded Olin Palladium Award

Nuclear Engineering Professor Rachel Slaybaugh has been invited to serve as a Senior Fellow at the Berkeley Institute for Data Science (BIDS).  BIDS was founded in 2013 to build a community of UC Berkeley data science researchers which represents a number of diverse research fields.  The Institute has established six working groups to address important topics relevant to data-intensive research.  More information on BIDS can be found on their website:


Nils Haneklaus Wins Award for Best Presentation at ANS Student Conference

UCBNE Graduate Student Nils Haneklaus received an award for Best Presentation in the Material Science and Technology Category at the ANS Student Conference in April hosted by Texas A&M.  Nils' award winning presentation was entitled "Diffusion Bonding of 316 SS Tube-to-Tube Sheet Joints for Coiled Tube Gas Heaters"
